What to Pack for a Nashville Bachelorette (And What to Rent Instead)
Most Nashville bachelorette packing lists you'll find online were written for a generic city trip. They tell you to pack a swimsuit and a 'fun outfit' and call it a day.
The reality of a Nashville bachelorette is more specific. The weather swings 25 degrees in a day in May. Broadway means you're walking on uneven sidewalks for hours. Half your photos happen at the rental, not at bars. And there's a long list of things people pack that they shouldn't, because they're cheaper and easier to rent on arrival than to drag through TSA.

What Every Person in the Group Should Pack
The non-negotiables: cowboy boots (genuinely — Nashville is not subtle about this), one outfit per night that you actually feel good in (not three options that you'll panic over), a denim jacket or light layer for May evenings, a pair of comfortable walking shoes that aren't the boots, a swimsuit (even if you 'don't think you'll use it'), and a phone charger that actually works.
Skip: more than one pair of heels (you won't wear them on Broadway sidewalks), bulky hair tools, a curling iron (the rental probably has one), and any 'just in case' outfits. You'll wear the same favorites in rotation.
What the Bride Should Pack (Different Rules)
The bride packs differently because she'll be the most photographed person of the weekend. She needs: one signature 'bride' outfit (white jumpsuit, white dress, pearl-laden look — whatever fits her vibe), one 'getting ready' look (matching pajamas the group is doing together is a strong move), boots she can actually walk in, the veil/sash/whatever bridal accessory the group has decided on, and her own beauty supplies because hotel mirrors are a hit-or-miss.
What the Maid of Honor Should Pack
The MOH carries the load. In a small zipped pouch: extra phone charger and a portable battery, painkillers, antacids, breath mints, blister bandaids (not standard bandaids — the wider bachelorette ones for boots), bobby pins, a sewing kit (someone will pop a button), small scissors, deodorant wipes, and a backup pair of sunglasses. Half of these get used. The half that doesn't is still worth the bag space.
What You Should Absolutely Not Pack
These are the items that take up half a suitcase, get charged extra at the airport, or just don't survive the trip. Don't bring:
Massive hair tools and styling kits. The rental probably has them, and even if it doesn't, a Glam Vanity Setup with steamer, blow dryer, and mirrors costs less than the overweight bag fee.
Pre-bought party games. The 'we'll bring Cards Against Humanity' plan never works because someone forgets it. A Party Game Bundle delivered to the rental is $49 and includes the favorites already organized.
Coffee maker / french press. People genuinely do this. A Coffee Bar setup is already there, with better coffee than what you'd pack.
Disposable cameras 'for the vibe.' Half the prints will be black squares. A real Photo Booth or Polaroid Camera produces actual usable shots.
Decorations. Streamers, banners, balloons, a 'Bride' sash for everyone. Either buy locally on day one or rent a Photo Backdrop Wall and a Neon Sign that look 10x better than what you'd hang yourself.
What to Plan to Buy on Arrival
Wine, liquor, mixers, and groceries should never come in your luggage. A Fridge & Pantry Stocking service runs $99 plus the cost of groceries — you send the list, the rental is stocked when you arrive, and you don't waste 90 minutes of Friday afternoon driving to Kroger and Total Wine. For a 10-person group with weekend-level needs, this saves 2-3 hours of group planning.
The Day-Of Survival Kit
Saturday will run long. Sunday will be hard. Pre-stocked Broadway Recovery Kits in the rental kitchen — premium water, electrolytes, painkillers, snacks, cooling eye masks — mean Sunday morning is functional instead of group-text-of-misery territory. Plan for the hangover before it happens.
Putting It Together
Nashville bachelorette packing rules: one suitcase per person, no exceptions. Anything 'group infrastructure' (decorations, party games, coffee, drinks, glam, photography, recovery) gets handled on arrival. The math always works in favor of renting locally vs. dragging through the airport.
